Hi, I’m Cary Norquay —
a grief and bereavement therapist based in New Maryland, New Brunswick.

For over 20 years, I’ve worked as a Child Life Specialist, supporting children, youth, and families as they navigated the emotional landscape of the healthcare system.

My work has always focused on providing psychosocial support, especially during times of medical crisis, uncertainty, and transition. I developed a deep passion for grief and end-of-life care while working on pediatric palliative care teams — a space where I learned the profound value of presence, honesty, and compassion in the face of loss.

Alongside my professional work, I’ve spent meaningful time at home raising my three lovely children, and I’ve also experienced grief personally. I know how isolating loss can feel, especially in a society that is often uncomfortable with death and grief — a society that is, in many ways, death-phobic and grief-illiterate.

I recently graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Master's of Education in Counselling Psychology. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and a Licensed Counselling Therapist-Candidate (LCT-C) with the College of Licensed Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick.

My therapeutic approach is client-led, humanistic, and grounded in deep respect. I aim to bear witness to each person's unique experience, creating a space that is safe, stigma-free, and rooted in connection.

Whether you're grieving a death, a diagnosis, or the many forms of loss that life can bring, I hope to offer a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported — just as you are.
